RIP Oderus Urungus (GWAR)

I thought this was a metal thread ... \m/

I used to be only into metal but now I listen lots of other stuff too.

Funny you mentioned Muse...saw them a year ago and they were quite entertaining
Very theatrical but that's part of the deal

My favorite of the old metal bands are

Slayer
Black Sabbath
Metallica
Iron Maiden
Judas Priest
Megadeth

(and for all of these anything mid 90s or older...not a huge fan of anything recently)
Been fortunate enough to see all of them before major members kick the bucket....

Slayer is a classic!

Ray - that's a fantastic list. I could listen to a playlist of their older stuff all day long lol

Hah I only get to listen to that mix in the car when I'm by myself. My wife isn't a big Slayer fan.

I also like some of the old-school metal like metallica, megadeth, pantera, ect. But I'm more new school now like As Blood Runs Black, Memphis May Fire, After The Burial, Born of Osiris. Also I seen GWAR live at the Time Warner Cable Amphitheater in Cleveland for Sounds of the Underground 07, they did such a good set RIP Oderus Urungus/Dave Brockie.

Side Note: If you like southern rock check out He Is Legend and Maylene And The Sons Of Disaster.
