I love to collect pocket knives. Does anyone else out there enjoy this as well? Right now my favorite is my Spyderco Paramilitary 2!
But I own numerous knives. Enough to carry a different one every day without repeating. :P

I've got 2 pocket knives. They're both the kind that use boxcutter blades. One's a full-size and one's a mini.

Not very exciting, I know. I'm more of a firearms kinda guy. lol

I just picked up a Gerber Prodigy as my camping knife. We go to NH and camp for a week at the end of summer and if possible for a long weekend here and there. I wanted a burly knife to handle campsite abuse and it seemed to fit the bill. I carry a basic leatherman when I go mountain biking along with a bike specific multi-tool. I think I need to upgrade it because none of the tools in this leatherman lock into place so it can be a pain. If you have any suggestion for something I can swap the leatherman for it's appreciated.

On the gun front I fired my first gun just a couple of weeks ago. My son crossed over from cub scouts to boy scouts and the troop had the crossing over ceremony at a local sportsman club. He fired an assortment of .22 rifles and a 12 gauge shotgun. I got to fire a lever action .22 rifle. It was fun and it turns out my son is a better shot than I am.

Hey Ray,

I have been looking at a few fixed blades for the same purpose. I'm looking at a Bark River Bravo-1 and Esee's Esee-4 or 5.

As far as a multi-tool recommendation I can make two. I have had Gerbers, Leatherman and a few other brands. Gerber does not have the build quality that it used to and I have not found any other brand that I enjoyed more than Leatherman. My EDC for the past 3 years has been a Leatherman wave. Its built like a tank. I have used it as a hammer, used it with a hammer, have taken it on short hikes and on overnight kayaking trips. It has been by far the best multi-tool that I have ever owned. You can find them for fairly cheap online. They are a very highly recommended multi-tool.

The 2nd recommendation is Leatherman's Charge TTI. It is the same format as the Wave but with a few different tools. If one does not suit your needs, the other more than likely will =)

.22s are my favorite by far to shoot, just because the ammo is so cheap, so you can have fun without burning through $50 in 10 minutes :P.
