Hey all haven't been on in a while but saw that there were all sort of updates since the last time I fired up DayZ and had the itch so I decided to fire it up and check out the new guns, items, etc...
Not sure if you all have still been meeting up on a server and running around but since I was planning on just putzing a little I went all Lone Wolf for a couple of days. First off it seemed pretty easy to gear up. Hit up the junkyard on the southern outskirts of Berenzino and was geared with everything I needed to start off...shotgun, buck shot, backpack, knife...
Wandered around and ended up in the NE airfield...what happened to all the buildings? Last time I played there were hangers....but I did find that truck thing and drove that around. Anyway long story short hit up the NW airport and said screw it and ran around all in the open expecting to get killed (now I was fully geared with a AKM after going through the tents in the north) I was on a 30 person server and it was almost full...didn't see a soul and I was firing my AKM.
got bored and headed to the Military Base south of the airfield...nothing but open fields so I'm running towards the base...then I see a blue square coming at me.
I stop fire my AKM but then splat I'm dead from getting run over by the truck thing. Thought it was pretty funny. It did give me the option to open the hood right before it hit me too.
